At ChitrAalekhya, we carefully pack and dispatch every order to ensure it reaches you safely. This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains where we currently deliver, how orders are shipped, expected delivery timelines, and situations where additional delivery charges may apply.

1. Delivery Locations

Currently, ChitrAalekhya delivers orders within Maharashtra, India.

Orders outside Maharashtra are not currently available for delivery.

We may expand our delivery locations in the future. Any changes will be reflected on our website.

2. Shipping Partners

Orders may be shipped through India Post or other courier and delivery service providers, depending on the delivery location, product, availability, and operational requirements.

The shipping service used for an order may therefore vary.

Once your order has been dispatched, applicable tracking details may be shared with you where tracking is available.

3. Order Processing

Orders are generally processed and prepared for dispatch within 1–3 business days after successful order confirmation and payment.

Processing may take longer during:

  • Weekends and public holidays;
  • Sales or promotional periods;
  • High order volumes; or
  • Unforeseen operational circumstances.

You will be notified when your order has been dispatched, where applicable.

4. Delivery Timelines

Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary depending on the destination, shipping service, and other circumstances.

As a general estimate:

  • Mumbai and nearby areas: approximately 3–7 business days
  • Other locations within Maharashtra: approximately 5–10 business days

These timelines begin after the order has been dispatched and are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Delays may occur due to weather, transportation disruptions, public holidays, operational issues, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

5. Shipping Charges

Applicable shipping charges will be displayed during the purchase process or communicated to the customer before payment, depending on the ordering method.

Shipping charges may vary based on the delivery location, package weight, dimensions, and shipping service used.

6. Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, including:

  • Recipient name;
  • House/flat number;
  • Building or society name, where applicable;
  • Street/locality;
  • City;
  • District, where applicable;
  • State;
  • Correct PIN code; and
  • Valid contact number.

Please carefully check your address before completing your order.

ChitrAalekhya is not responsible for delivery failure or additional charges resulting from an incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or incorrectly entered address.

7. Re-Delivery Charges

If a shipment cannot be delivered and needs to be sent again, additional re-delivery charges may apply.

Re-delivery charges may apply in situations including:

  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery address;
  • Incorrect PIN code;
  • Incorrect or unreachable contact information;
  • Customer being unavailable to receive the package;
  • Repeated unsuccessful delivery attempts;
  • Customer refusing or being unable to accept the shipment; or
  • The shipment was returned to ChitrAalekhya due to circumstances attributable to the customer.

Where applicable, the re-delivery charge will be communicated to the customer before the order is shipped again.

The additional charge must be paid before re-delivery.

8. Returned or Undelivered Shipments

If a shipment is returned to ChitrAalekhya because it could not be delivered, we may contact the customer to confirm the delivery details.

If the customer requests the order to be shipped again, applicable re-delivery charges may be payable before the shipment is re-dispatched.

If the customer does not wish to have the order re-delivered, the applicable resolution will be handled according to the relevant order and refund terms.

9. Delivery Attempts

Delivery is handled by the selected postal or courier service.

Customers should ensure that someone is available at the provided delivery address to receive the package where required.

ChitrAalekhya cannot guarantee a specific delivery date or time because the final delivery is handled by the applicable postal or courier service.

10. Tracking

Where a trackable shipping service is used, tracking information may be provided after dispatch.

Tracking updates are generated by the relevant postal or courier service and may take some time to appear after dispatch.

For tracking-related issues, customers may contact us with their order details so that we can assist where reasonably possible.

11. Delays

Delivery timelines provided by ChitrAalekhya are estimates and not guaranteed delivery dates.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:

  • Severe weather;
  • Natural events;
  • Transportation disruptions;
  • Postal or courier delays;
  • Public holidays;
  • Government restrictions;
  • Strikes or operational disruptions; or
  • Other unforeseen circumstances.

We will make reasonable efforts to assist with delivery-related issues where possible.

12. Inspection at Delivery

Customers are encouraged to inspect the package and product as soon as possible after delivery.

If the product appears damaged, please follow the requirements provided in our Return & Refund Policy.

For damaged-product claims, the required continuous, unedited unboxing video and applicable claim timeline specified in the Return & Refund Policy must be followed.

13. Delivery Confirmation

A shipment may be considered delivered based on the delivery confirmation or tracking information provided by the applicable postal or courier service.

If you believe your order has been incorrectly marked as delivered but you have not received it, please contact ChitrAalekhya as soon as possible with your order and tracking details.
